Lady Macbeth effect

Performance on the memory of gesture and the desire for purification

This project stems from the imagery evoked by the Lady Macbeth Effect, the psychological phenomenon whereby guilt generates an unconscious impulse to cleanse the body, as if contact with error, guilt or transgression could be washed away from the skin.

Through a composition of ritual gestures, inner voices and repeated actions, the performance explores the boundary between memory and obsession, between body and consciousness. Hand washing becomes a symbolic and physical gesture: not only cleansing, but prayer, attempt, supplication. The body itself becomes the theatre of an invisible conflict, where movement becomes testimony to the repressed, and the stage is transformed into a liminal space between reality and psyche.

In the flow of the performance, each spectator is called upon to reflect on the human desire for redemption, in the tireless search for a purity that is perhaps not the absence of guilt, but the embrace of one's own shadow.

Poetic act of the shadow

Performance on the encounter with the invisible part of oneself

A single body enters an empty space, crossed by intermittent lights, distorted reflections, subtle sounds. There is no linear narration, but a flow of internal images that become gesture, breath, tremor. It is the journey into the shadow, that psychic territory often avoided, removed, denied.

The performance is born as a contemporary ritual, an act of crossing and reconciliation. The performer moves between changing scenarios: now an animalistic creature, now an archetypal figure, now a simple human being who falls and gets up again. The shadow takes shape in the fragments of the self that have no place in everyday life, in unconfessed desires, in words never said.

«The shadow is everything we do not want to be, but that we are.» — Carl Gustav Jung

Through the fusion of movement, voice, symbolic objects and projected images, the performance becomes a mirror for the observer: an invitation to look without judgment, to stay when instinct would like to escape, to recognize that in the shadow there is not only fear, but also power, intuition, truth.

Shape Me

The performance takes place in an open space, where the audience is invited to become an active part of the work, taking on the role of “creators”. With clay, makeup, fabrics and lights, the participants model the body, faces, postures of the performer, giving shape to their ideas, tastes and visions of beauty or identity.

This act of shaping becomes a metaphor for the fragility inherent in the human desire to be accepted and recognized by others. Each intervention of the audience modifies the appearance and presence of the performer, influencing not only her external image but also her internal perception, posture, energy.

Through this interaction, the theme of the influence that external judgment exerts on the psyche emerges, showing how the construction of identity is a dynamic process, often suspended between the need to conform and that of affirming oneself.

"Modellami" is thus a contemporary ritual that reveals, in a tactile and visual form, the tension between body and mind, between autonomy and emotional dependence, between the vulnerability of showing oneself and the strength of feeling welcomed.

Inside Geisha

UNPUBLISHED PROJECT SEEKING RESIDENCY

A show that explores the complex human nature in the subtle game between submission and domination, embodied by the two symbolic figures of the Geisha and the Dominatrix. Through a mix of comic and dramatic moments, the performance stages the confrontation and coexistence of these two extreme personalities, revealing the ambiguous nuances that animate them.

The audience becomes an active part of this ambivalent space, where the boundaries between power and surrender, control and abandonment, blur and chase each other. Irony emerges as a key to investigating profound themes, allowing us to address the dynamics that govern human and interior relationships with lightness and intensity.

"Inside the Geisha" invites us to reflect on how opposing impulses coexist in each of us, and on how the social mask alternates the desire to please and that of dominating, to be welcomed or to impose one's will.

Bodies in an Ocean Space

A series of illustrations and collages that explore the relationship between the body and society, revealing bodies that wander in search of a safe space, a place of belonging where they can finally exist without masks. These bodies transform, they shape themselves between the folds of time and the gaze of others, oscillating between vulnerability and strength, fragility and resilience.

Each image is a fragment of an interior and exterior journey, a visual dialogue with the environment that surrounds us and with the identity that we wish to recognize and protect. Through layered textures, superimpositions and metamorphoses, the series tells the story of the continuous search for balance between the self and the world, between the need for roots and the desire for freedom.

Fairy Tales

This series of illustrations uses magic and the language of fairy tales to explore the delicate and mysterious journey of the individual through the depths of his or her unconscious. Each image is a fragment of a process of transformation, a visual story that, like a fairy tale, narrates the inner metamorphoses that occur when we immerse ourselves. Between shadows and lights, silences and internal noises, these works reveal hidden changes, concealed fears and new possibilities for rebirth. It is an invitation to look beyond the surface, to listen to the secret language of the psyche and to recognize the beauty of the continuous change that defines our existence.
